Synergy Solutions is seeking a motivated Tooling Shipping & Material Handler to join our automation and robotics team. Position Overview:
This role will support the movement of tools throughout the assembly process, including testing, quality inspection, and final shipment to customers. This role plays a critical part in ensuring tooling is safely handled, accurately documented, and delivered on schedule. The ideal candidate has experience in shipping, logistics, and heavy material handling within a manufacturing environment, along with a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and quality.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Move tooling and materials throughout the facility during assembly, testing, quality inspection, and final shipment
• Route materials between departments to support production and workflow efficiency
• Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and pallet jacks to transport tools and equipment
• Verify shipping documentation, including: Bills of lading / Export documentation / Packing lists / Shipment photos / Additional required customer documentation
• Inspect outgoing finished tools to ensure shipments meet all customer and company specifications
• Determine proper packing, crating, and labeling methods to protect materials during shipment
• Assist with loading shipments onto trucks for delivery to customers
• Operate company vehicles as needed
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances related to material movement
• Perform additional duties as assigned
Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
• 5+ years of shipping, warehouse, or material handling experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to safely operate a forklift and overhead crane
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and remain highly organized in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations
