Position Overview
The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment in and around the facility. This position performs routine cleaning tasks, minor maintenance, and ensures that all areas meet cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and surfaces.
• Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Perform minor repairs and report maintenance issues to supervisors.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed while using cleaning chemicals and tools.
• Lock and unlock doors, secure buildings, and report any security concerns.
Qualifications/Desired Skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial or custodial experience a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Schedule
Full-time — Shift: 4:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
