Description
SUMMARY: The CMM Programmer to develop layout information for new machine start-ups check
existing parts, run capability studies, and duties as required in the quality lab.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Demonstrate effective of CMM operation and probe Calibration
• Demonstrate understanding of basic shop math including inch - metric measurements &
trigonometry
• Demonstrate understanding of CMM results and reports.
• Notify Set up and supervision of any part discrepancy within a timely manner.
• Maintain CMM maintenance procedures and follow through to obtain accurate measurement
results.
• Aid in troubleshooting machining issues using layout data.
• Create and verify PCDMIS programs for new jobs and gauges by utilizing model/CAD files and
prints
• Fully participate in and support the JNB Machining Quality System
• Work with all facets of the company during set up, production and shipping to assure
expectations are continuously met.
• Participate in and follow-up Correction/Preventative Actions
• Fully trained to the requirements outlined in the JNB Training Matrix.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Medium to advance level in CMM Programming
• Oral and written communication skills
• Able to read and understand quality documentation and blueprints
• Computer Literacy
• Understanding of the APQP process and PPAP
• Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerance principles
• Basic Metrology Skills including calibration

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• May be required to walk/stand up to 12 hours per shift.
• Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
• Frequently required to balance, bend, stoop, or kneel.
• The employee must occasionally lift and /or move a maximum of 25 pounds.
