The Integration Tool Builder I is responsible for assisting in the assembly, installation, and validation of automated tooling and machine systems used in manufacturing environments. This entry-level role supports senior builders and engineers in building mechanical systems according to engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. This position offers hands-on experience in automation, tooling integration, and machine building within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in the layout, assembly, and installation of mechanical components used in automated tooling systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
• Fit, assemble, and secure parts using hand tools and power tools.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
• Support the integration of automated systems, including mechanical and basic electrical components.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and assist in resolving mechanical issues during the build process.
• Test and validate assembled systems to ensure proper functionality and adherence to quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, toolmakers, electricians, and other team members to meet project timelines.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all company safety protocols.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years of experience in machine building, mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a related skilled trade.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs and work in a manufacturing/shop environment.
Required Tools
• Candidates must provide and maintain their own basic set of hand tools necessary to perform mechanical assembly tasks. These tools may include, but are not limited to:
Preferred Qualifications
• Technical school certification or apprenticeship in machine building, manufacturing technology, or a related field.
• Exposure to automation, robotics, or automotive manufacturing.
• Basic understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, or electrical systems.
• Experience operating forklifts or overhead cranes.
Work Environment
• Manufacturing and shop environment with exposure to moving machinery and moderate noise levels.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
• Overtime and occasional travel may be required to support installation and customer site integration.
