Position Overview:
In this role, you will support a variety of customer programs, working on both large and small-scale projects with aggressive timelines. You will play a key role in understanding customer requirements, contributing to design and validation efforts, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. We are seeking a hands-on, well-rounded Mechanical Engineer II who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across a wide range of components and systems. This is not a niche role—we’re looking for an engineer with broad experience who can jump into diverse projects and make an immediate impact.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with designers to develop accurate and timely 3D mechanical designs under the guidance of a lead engineer or supervisor
• Perform engineering calculations, analysis, and problem-solving to support design efforts
• Read, interpret, and create technical drawings and engineering documentation
• Ensure designs meet quality, cost, and timing objectives
• Communicate project updates, challenges, and next steps to customers, stakeholders, and internal teams
• Interface with customers, vendors, and internal teams to meet technical requirements and project timelines
• Support cross-functional collaboration to meet customer standards and program demands
• Execute assigned project tasks independently while contributing to overall team success


Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience
• Experience with complex mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, actuators)
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or Siemens NX/Unigraphics preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to present technical information clearly
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• A versatile engineer who can work across multiple systems—not just a single component
• Someone who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems, and seeing designs come to life
• A team player who can adapt quickly and contribute in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment
Preferred Skills & Experience
• Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, DFM, and FEA
• Familiarity with OEM release systems and procedures
• Knowledge of vehicle dynamics and evaluation processes
• Experience with 2D drawing development and GD&T application
• Understanding of bolted and welded joint design
• Additional software experience with CATIA, Pro/E (Creo), or MATLAB
• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience
• Internship or project experience such as Formula SAE, Baja SAE, or similar engineering programs
