Position Overview
As the Composites Department establishes the production pace for downstream manufacturing operations, the Production Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in driving operational efficiency, maintaining production schedules, and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate has previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of composite manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, and employee development.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of composite technicians to achieve daily production, quality, and safety objectives.
• Plan and coordinate daily production activities to meet changing production schedules and customer demands.
• Monitor workflow to ensure composite components are fabricated and delivered on time to support downstream assembly operations.
• Supervise the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of aerospace composite components using carbon fiber, plastics, metals, adhesives, and related materials.
• Ensure employees are following engineering drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing specifications.
• Promote and enforce all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and safe work practices.
• Conduct daily production meetings and communicate departmental priorities, staffing needs, and production goals.
• Monitor employee performance, provide coaching, conduct performance evaluations, and support employee development.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Materials, Maintenance, and Production Planning to resolve manufacturing issues and improve operational performance.
• Ensure production data, inventory transactions, scrap reporting, and work order status are accurately maintained within Visual Factory and Epicor ERP systems.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, waste reduction, and process efficiency.
• Investigate production issues, implement corrective actions, and proactively eliminate manufacturing bottlenecks.
• Monitor departmental KPIs including safety, quality, productivity, labor efficiency, scrap, and on-time delivery.
• Ensure all finished products meet aerospace quality standards and customer specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production environment utilizing Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
• Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, and workforce planning.
• Perform additional leadership responsibilities as assigned.

Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Business, or related field preferred.
• 3–5+ years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience leading production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and quality systems.
• Previous experience supervising hourly manufacturing employees.
• Ability to work extended hours as production demands require.
