Position Overview:

As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in the assembly, inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of high-performance engines and powertrain systems. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble, disassemble, inspect, and rebuild high-performance internal combustion engines to precise engineering specifications and tight tolerances.
Perform mechanical assembly, fitting, adjustment, and light fabrication of engine and powertrain components.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical and electrical issues involving engines, transmissions, and related systems.
Utilize precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches, dial indicators, and specialty engine assembly tools.
Operate shop equipment including vehicle lifts, engine hoists, welding equipment, presses, and diagnostic tools safely and efficiently.
Support engine and transmission testing, including NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) instrumentation and validation activities.
Collaborate with engineering, calibration, and controls teams to ensure optimal engine performance and build quality.
Accurately document assembly procedures, inspections, test results, and repairs within company manufacturing systems.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment while following all quality standards and operating procedures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with prototype builds and special projects as assigned.
Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in engine assembly, automotive repair, performance engine building, or a closely related mechanical field.
High School Diploma or GED required; vocational, technical, or ASE certifications are highly preferred.
Strong understanding of internal combustion engines, powertrain systems, and mechanical assembly processes.
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, torque equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, assembly instructions, and technical specifications.
Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Comfortable standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
