Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Inspector to ensure that products meet established standards of quality, safety, and performance. This role supports production operations by conducting audits, inspections, and quality evaluations across all value streams, contributing to continuous improvement and compliance with company and industry standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Strictly adhere to all company Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
• Apply 5S principles to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the quality lab, quality cage, non-conforming cage, and temporary sort areas.
• Understand, comply with, and uphold Department Operating Standards (DOS).
• Perform in-process and final inspections for each value stream in accordance with approved Control Plans.
• Conduct scheduled Error-Proofing Audits, TS (Technical Specification) Audits, and Layered Process Audits (LPA).
• Perform Gauge R&R (Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility) studies and ensure gauge accuracy.
• Execute Incoming and Dock Audits in accordance with posted Quality Alerts.
• Prepare and maintain Measurement Reports using Microsoft Access and Excel.
• Effectively communicate quality issues and non-conformances to the operations team through the issuance of Quality Alerts.
• Report and track supplier-related quality concerns using the ISCAR database.
• Maintain, calibrate, and safeguard all quality inspection tools and gauges.
• Support and manage Safe Launch activities, ensuring product integrity during initial production runs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Quality Management.
Qualifications/Desired Skils
• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in quality or manufacturing is a plus.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in quality inspection or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of inspection methods, quality systems, and auditing techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Access.
• Familiarity with control plans, quality standards (such as ISO/TS), and measurement tools.
• Experience with gauge calibration and GRR studies is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
