Position Overview
The Material Handler supports manufacturing and supply chain operations by ensuring materials, components, and finished parts are accurately received, stored, staged, and delivered throughout the facility. This role plays a key part in maintaining production flow, inventory accuracy, and a safe, organized work environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, high lifts, pallet jacks, and carts to transport materials and parts throughout the facility
- Receive, stage, and deliver raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to production and shipping areas
- Support shipping and receiving activities, including loading/unloading trucks and verifying materials
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with material tracking and documentation
- Clean, prepare, and organize parts and materials as required by production
- Communicate effectively with production, shipping, and internal teams to support daily operations
- Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and general housekeeping (5S)
Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Previous experience in a material handler, warehouse, or manufacturing support role preferred
- Experience handling plastics or resins, including staging, identification, loading, and proper storage of plastic pellets, resins, or molded components, preferred
- Forklift or industrial equipment experience a plus (certification preferred but not required)
- Basic computer or ERP experience (Epicor experience is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical job duties throughout the shift
