Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shipping Supervisor to oversee daily pick, pack, and shipping operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is responsible for ensuring all customer orders are accurately picked, packaged, and shipped within established timelines while maintaining inventory accuracy, workflow efficiency, and warehouse organization.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and experience managing shipping operations, inventory control, and warehouse personnel. This individual must be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities, troubleshoot operational challenges, and help drive continuous improvement throughout the shipping department.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee all daily picking, packing, and shipping operations
• Ensure all customer orders are processed and shipped within 24–48 hours of order entry
• Coordinate with carriers to ensure all shipments are picked up on schedule
• Assign daily responsibilities and manage workflow to maximize efficiency
• Train, coach, and support warehouse employees to ensure operational success and accountability
• Monitor shipping performance and provide updates and reporting to management
• Identify opportunities to improve shipping processes, productivity, and inventory accuracy
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, and operational issues
• Oversee inventory replenishment activities and assist with cycle counts and inventory audits
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Assist with additional warehouse operations and support functions as needed
Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
• Previous experience as a Shipping Lead, Shipping Supervisor, or similar warehouse leadership role
• Reach truck experience required
• Experience operating forklifts, order selectors, reach trucks, and Hi-Lo equipment
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Experience with shipping and warehouse systems such as:
o NetSuite / FedEx Ship Manager / UPS WorldShip / Endicia / Pacejet
• Experience with inventory management and cycle counting processes preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional college coursework is a plus
