Description
Synergy Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented EHS/Safety Specialist Associate to support daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced automotive environment.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated EHS / Safety Specialist to join our team. This position will play a key role in maintaining a safe work environment across multiple facilities and offices while ensuring compliance with OSHA/MIOSHA regulations and company safety standards.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on safety professional with strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively with employees and leadership at all levels.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine safety inspections and audits across multiple plants and office locations.
• Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions to improve workplace safety.
• Lead and document accident and incident investigations, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, MIOSHA, and applicable federal and state safety regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for equipment, processes, and work environments.
• Develop and deliver employee safety training on topics such as PPE, machine safety, hazard communication, ergonomics, and other applicable safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, training documentation, and regulatory records.
• Partner with operations and leadership to implement safety initiatives and continuously improve the organization's safety culture.
• Assist with the development and implementation of safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Provide guidance and support to employees and management regarding safety requirements and best practices.
Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant safety experience will be considered.
• Previous experience in an EHS/Safety role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and MIOSHA regulations.
• Strong understanding of safety inspections, accident investigations, risk assessments, and employee training.
• Safety certifications or training such as OSHA 30, ASP, CSP, or equivalent are a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel between multiple facilities as needed.
