Position Overview:
This role is ideal for skilled electrical and wire harness professionals with strong hands-on experience in wiring, soldering, crimping, harness assembly, and electrical rework within manufacturing or automotive environments.
Candidates must be able to work independently, read and interpret schematics and wiring instructions, and perform high-quality electrical assembly work with precision and attention to detail. This is a long-term opportunity with a stable and fast-paced team environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Cut, route, and prepare wires to required lengths
• Perform wire soldering and electrical rework using schematics and work instructions
• Crimp terminals and populate connectors accurately
• De-pin terminals from connectors and relocate as needed
• Assemble wiring harnesses using proper assembly techniques and hand tools
• Read and interpret wiring schematics, prints, cut sheets, and assembly instructions
• Perform teardown and rework of donor harnesses
• Conduct quality inspections and validation of completed harness assemblies
• Utilize multimeters and testing equipment to verify electrical integrity
• Track inventory and maintain organization of project materials and supplies
• Work collaboratively within small teams to complete production goals
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and cross-functional teams
• Support continuous improvement and deliver high-quality workmanship
Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
Required
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in wire harness assembly or electrical wiring
• Strong experience with: Wire preparation / Crimping / Soldering / Connector population / De-pinning and rework
• Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, prints, and cut sheets
• Experience using multimeters and electrical testing equipment
• Strong attention to detail and measurement accuracy
• Reliable transportation
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Basic computer skills
• Flexibility to cross-train and support multiple projects
Required Tools
Candidates must provide their own basic electrical tools, including:
• Wire cutters
• Wire strippers
• Pick set
• Crimping tools
• Multimeter / volt meter
• Soldering iron
Preferred
• Automotive high-voltage experience
• Experience within automotive, aerospace, defense, or prototype build environments
Important Hiring Information:
All candidates will complete hands-on soldering and crimping assessments on their first day to verify technical skill level. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in electrical assembly techniques and workmanship standards.
