Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and forward-thinking Quality Inspector to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting aftermarket glass components used in automotive dashboards. Using precision tools and visual inspection methods, you will identify and document defects to ensure that all products meet our rigorous quality standards before reaching our customers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform detailed visual inspections of automotive dashboard glass using various tools such as specialized lighting, magnifiers, and measuring devices.
• Identify and assess defects including but not limited to: cracks, dents, chips, scratches, bubbles, and smudges.
• Handle glass products carefully and efficiently while seated at an inspection station (desk/chair setup).
• Uphold quality standards by thoroughly reviewing each unit based on company criteria and industry best practices.
• Document all findings accurately using both handwritten methods and digital systems in accordance with company protocols.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to communicate defects and support continuous improvement.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
• Remain alert and consistent in inspections throughout the shift to ensure a high standard of accuracy and reliability.
Qualifications/Desired Skills
• High attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work independently while following standard operating procedures.
• Experience with visual inspection or quality control (preferred but not required).
• Comfortable using inspection tools and basic technology (tablets, software entry systems).
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and focus on repetitive tasks without loss of accuracy.
• Basic documentation and communication skills.
• Prior experience in automotive or glass manufacturing industries.
• Familiarity with quality inspection standards and protocols.
• Experience documenting findings in both physical and digital formats.
Work Environment:
• Work is performed at a seated inspection station.
• Use of hand tools, lighting equipment, magnifiers, and digital devices is required.
• Fast-paced, quality-driven manufacturing setting.
