Position Overview
The Molding Operator is responsible for a mold run, which is generally 3 molding machines. The molding operator loads, unloads and inspects parts which are produced on the machines.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Physically operate machine controls for load-unload of product produced.
• Audit specific operating parameters against actual machine conditions for necessary adjustments.
• Physically load and unload machines.
• Identify and remove defective product.
• Communicate closely with mold setters, management and report variances to standard procedure.
• Must be able to operate multiple machines as directed by supervision.
• Keep machine decks clean and clear of produced product.
• Must be able to accommodate safety equipment (gloves, safety glasses and hearing protection).
• Maintain a clean work area during shift.
• Record production and downtime.
• Inspection of finished parts.
• Other work as directed supervision.
Qualifications/Desired Skills
• Excellent work and attendance history.
• Good organizational skills.
• Become knowledgeable in all aspects of molded rubber parts.
• Adaptable to changes in start time and shift duration.
• Enthusiastic and flexible team player.
• Possess high quality standards.
• Must be able to lift 15 lbs.
