Position Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong mechanical background and a team-first attitude.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform mechanical diagnostics to identify equipment malfunctions and determine appropriate repairs.
• Disassemble and reassemble components such as gearboxes, pumps, valves, and hydraulic cylinders to repair or replace defective parts.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Operate welding and machining tools to support equipment fabrication and repair.
• Install, align, and commission new equipment per manufacturer specifications, using technical manuals and blueprints.
• Source and procure replacement parts necessary for equipment maintenance and repair.
• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance as scheduled, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of equipment.
• Monitor machine performance, identify root causes of recurring issues, and recommend improvements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Comply with all safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications/Desired Skills
• Completion of an industrial apprenticeship program or a 2-year technical school certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience (or 5+ years of direct hands-on maintenance in a manufacturing environment).
• Strong working knowledge of industrial mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, and motor drives.
• Welding, fabrication, and machining experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints.
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced industrial environment.
