Description
Position Overview:
Synergy Solutions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Electrical Lab Coordinator to support daily operations within a fast-paced automotive engineering and testing environment. This role serves as the primary liaison between customers, engineering teams, and shop floor personnel, ensuring electrical projects are properly coordinated, scheduled, documented, and completed on time. The ideal candidate combines strong administrative skills with a technical understanding of automotive electrical systems and excels at managing multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinate daily work assignments and create second-shift schedules for both the Electrical Lab and Shop Floor teams.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and internal leadership, providing project updates and confirming completion of assigned work.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders to ensure projects are completed on schedule and customer expectations are met.
• Attend customer meetings to review project requirements, priorities, and timelines.
• Issue, log, and coordinate new electrical projects from initiation through completion.
• Process project documentation including RFIs, VDOs, submittals, change requests, and related project records.
• Maintain and update project tracking spreadsheets, schedules, and status reports using Microsoft Excel.
• Assist with data entry and project documentation within internal business systems.
• Coordinate procurement and delivery of electrical components and long-lead materials to support project schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in preventing material shortages or project delays.
• Oversee maintenance, calibration, and repair schedules for electrical lab equipment while coordinating with equipment vendors and service providers.
• Maintain detailed service records and equipment documentation to ensure compliance and minimize downtime.
• Support development and maintenance of detailed project schedules while coordinating activities across multiple departments.
• Conduct routine quality and progress reviews to ensure work is completed according to project requirements and company standards.
• Lead and document project coordination meetings while proactively identifying and resolving scheduling or technical issues.
• Support project closeout activities by ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and properly archived.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support engineering and laboratory operations.
Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical training in Electrical Technology, Engineering Technology, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience supporting engineering, automotive testing, electrical labs, manufacturing, or project coordination environments.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.
• Ability to work effectively with customers, engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working within automotive engineering or vehicle development environments.
• Familiarity with Ford GPIRS and FordDoc systems.
• General knowledge of automotive electrical systems, wiring, and electrical components.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience coordinating engineering projects or laboratory operations.
• Understanding of engineering documentation, testing procedures, and quality processes.
