Position Overview
The Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) Technologist I will support engineering testing for research and development of vehicles, products, sub-systems, components, or materials. This role is responsible for setting up and executing tests, collecting data using specialized equipment, control software, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems, and ensuring testing is performed according to established procedures. The NVH Technologist I will consolidate test results and prepare reports for internal and external customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare and set up test equipment for NVH evaluations.
• Conduct tests, document test setups, and process test results.
• Verify testing accuracy and completeness, and determine if additional testing is needed.
• Identify NVH or durability testing issues and assist in developing countermeasures.
• Clearly communicate test results to engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Perform minor automotive mechanical tasks as required for testing.
• Complete part changes and other tasks needed to support testing.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience (Required)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in NVH testing or similar experience.
• Good driving record.
• Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: powertrain and driveline NVH, vehicle NVH, modal analysis, mount systems, acoustic and damping materials.
• Familiarity with instrumentation, test equipment, and data processing techniques.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to multi-task, work as part of a team, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience (Preferred)
• Experience with NVH testing and analysis software such as Siemens Simcenter Test.Lab, National Instruments LabVIEW, MTS Flextest.
• Ability to diagnose and solve NVH problems using experimental and analytical methods.
• Skilled at processing data and understanding underlying mathematical principles.
• Ability to operate powertrain or chassis dynamometers.
• Ability to develop and construct custom test stands.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
• Associate degree in a technical field.
