Position Overview
The Electrical Technician supports the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and electro-mechanical components used in aerospace manufacturing. This role works closely with engineers, production teams, and quality personnel to ensure electrical systems and components meet aerospace quality and safety standards. This is an entry-level to junior-level role ideal for candidates with hands-on electrical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble, wire, and install electrical and electro-mechanical components according to schematics, drawings, and work instructions
- Perform basic electrical testing using multimeters, continuity testers, and other standard tools
- Assist with troubleshooting electrical issues on production equipment and assemblies
- Identify and report defective components or wiring discrepancies
- Support prototype builds, production runs, and rework activities
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and test results
- Follow all safety procedures, including ESD, lockout/tagout awareness, and aerospace quality standards
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with 5S and company policies
- Work under direct supervision of senior technicians or engineers
Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- 0–2 years of experience in electrical assembly, manufacturing, or industrial environments
- Basic understanding of electrical principles (voltage, current, resistance)
- Ability to read basic electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing equipment
- Good attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs in a manufacturing environment
