Position Overview:
This role helps ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant infrastructure, including HVAC systems, industrial air compressors, water pumps, cooling towers, shipping docks, overhead doors, and electrical systems.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC systems, industrial air compressors, water pumps, cooling towers, and plant lighting systems.
• Maintain, inspect, and repair shipping docks and overhead doors.
• Assist with maintaining plant electrical feed systems and related facility infrastructure.
• Diagnose equipment issues and perform corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain efficient operations.
• Follow established preventive maintenance schedules and document maintenance activities as required.
• Respond to employee concerns, facility issues, and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Follow OSHA standards and all applicable safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support facility improvement projects and other operational initiatives as directed by management.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, and facility personnel to support daily plant operations.
• Perform additional maintenance and general facility duties as assigned.
Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
• Preferred 5–7 years of experience in industrial maintenance, facility maintenance, or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices and procedures.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment and facility systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting is a plus.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to learn and utilize ERP systems for maintenance documentation and related tasks.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with established procedures.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform physical tasks involving climbing, carrying, pulling, gripping, grasping, twisting, bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods, including shifts of eight hours or more.
• Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
