Position Overview:
This role will support automotive and electrical integration projects through wiring harness assembly, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair activities. This role is responsible for building and reworking wiring harnesses on both vehicles and bench applications while following blueprints, schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).

The ideal candidate will have strong electrical troubleshooting abilities, hands-on automotive experience, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams and customers in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assemble, install, test, repair, and rework wiring harnesses on vehicles and bench applications
• Perform functional and safety testing using diagnostic equipment, schematics, and work instructions
• Follow blueprints, BOMs, cut sheets, sample harnesses, and electrical schematics to complete assigned tasks
• Install lights, brackets, electrical hardware, and related components on vehicles and test equipment
• Perform reverse engineering of wiring harnesses and create basic schematics as needed
• Crimp, solder, de-pin terminals, and complete wiring modifications and repairs
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems and identify root causes of failures
• Support vehicle builds, prototype projects, and electrical integration activities
• Maintain shop equipment through preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
• Participate in daily shop organization, housekeeping, and safety initiatives
• Collaborate with customers, engineers, and team members to complete project objectives
• Support overtime and weekend work as needed to meet project timelines

Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 4 years of electrical work experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a basic understanding of automotive systems
• Experience crimping, soldering, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical wiring
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to operate vehicle lifts and work safely around automotive systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
Preferred Qualifications
• Certificate in Automotive Electrical Technology or related field
• Valid Driver’s License
• Experience installing components on circuit boards
• Experience with automotive powertrain systems or electric battery systems
• Broad knowledge of vehicle systems including powertrain, chassis, thermal, electrical, interior, and exterior systems

Work Environment
This position works within a shop, laboratory, and automotive manufacturing environment and may require standing, lifting, bending, working around vehicles, and operating shop equipment throughout the shift.
