Position Overview:
This entry-level role is ideal for individuals interested in automotive, tire testing, and hands-on technical work. The Tire Lab Technician will support senior technicians with tire preparation, testing support, data collection, material handling, and general lab operations while ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained. The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn within an automotive testing environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist senior technicians with tire testing, preparation, inspection, and evaluation activities.
• Support tire mounting, balancing, inflation, and dismounting processes.
• Prepare tires, wheels, and testing equipment for scheduled lab activities.
• Follow electronic work instructions, test procedures, and lab documentation.
• Assist with movement of tires, materials, and equipment throughout the facility.
• Perform cleaning and basic maintenance of lab equipment and work areas.
• Record and document testing information accurately.
• Maintain organization of test samples, tools, and equipment.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
• Support additional lab and production-related activities as assigned.

Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing, automotive, warehouse, or technical environments.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate electronic work instructions.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand tools.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and fine hand manipulation.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move materials throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications
• Automotive shop class experience or automotive hobby experience.
• Previous experience with tires, wheels, or automotive service equipment.
• Experience performing personal vehicle maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced lab and manufacturing environment.
