Synergy Solutions is hiring a dependable Automotive Mechanic II for trade assignments with leading employers. Position Overview:
This role is responsible for modifying, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining cars and trucks while supporting advanced vehicle development projects within a prototype environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on automotive repair experience, and solid electrical systems troubleshooting ability. This position requires individuals who can work independently, follow written procedures, and collaborate effectively with engineering teams, customers, and fellow technicians in a fast-paced shop environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform diagnostics, repairs, modifications, and maintenance on prototype vehicles
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions
• Replace vehicle components and assemblies as required
• Read, interpret, and follow repair procedures, work instructions, and service documentation
• Conduct inspections and complete repairs based on repair orders or leadership direction
• Maintain accurate service records, repair notes, and vehicle documentation
• Operate and maintain shop equipment safely and effectively
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with troubleshooting shop equipment issues
• Support daily shop organization, cleanliness, and safety standards
• Collaborate with team members and customers on project-related tasks and deadlines

Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 4 years of professional automotive mechanic experience
• Strong electrical systems knowledge and troubleshooting ability
• Mechanical assembly experience and ability to operate shop equipment
• Ability to read, understand, and execute written procedures and repair instructions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
• Must provide own tools and rolling toolbox
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications
• Certificate in Automotive Technology or related field
• ASE Certifications preferred
• State Mechanic Certifications preferred
• Valid Driver’s License
• Experience with: Vehicle alignments / Air conditioning (A/C) systems / Tire machines and wheel balancers / Prototype or specialty vehicle builds
