Description
Seeking a sharp, dependable Track Office Safety Coordinator for assignments in business and administrative functions. Schedule:
7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
3–4 days per week with rotating days, including every other weekend
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Track Office Safety Coordinator to join our team on the night shift at our Romeo, MI facility. This role is critical to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of test track surfaces, supporting vehicle testing activities, and responding to on-track incidents. This is a long-term opportunity for the right candidate.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitor track safety across all testing surfaces
• Oversee and manage radio communications related to track activity
• Accurately enter and maintain data in Visitor Log and Track Log systems
• Coordinate with internal departments to maximize utilization of testing surfaces
• Manage communication signage and Safety Beacon lighting systems
• Conduct routine driving inspections of test surfaces to ensure safety and readiness
• Open and close road/test surfaces as required
• Serve as Incident Commander in the event of vehicle issues or emergencies and assist with response efforts
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license with a strong driving record
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
