Position Overview:
The Trim Sewer Technician II is responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality products in a manufacturing environment. This role works both independently and collaboratively to meet production, quality, and performance standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines, including components such as pattern plates, needles, presser feet, and cutting tools
• Read and interpret work orders, adjusting machine settings, materials, and attachments accordingly
• Select appropriate fabric, thread, and needles for each job and verify setup before production runs
• Inspect finished products and perform repairs or adjustments as needed to meet quality standards
• Accurately track production metrics, including materials used, maintenance performed, and output quantities
• Attach trims such as elastic, zippers, cords, hooks, and buttons per specifications and diagrams
• Troubleshoot basic machine issues and escalate maintenance needs when necessary
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 4 years of industrial sewing experience
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with Juki sewing machines
