Position Overview:
New Model Programs Development Center (NMPDC) is seeking a motivated and organized Material & Build Coordinator to support our Paint and Battery departments. This role plays a critical part in prototype vehicle development by ensuring materials, inventory, and work orders are accurately managed and coordinated between teams.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage inventory levels and material flow for both Paint and Battery departments
• Track parts and materials to ensure availability for scheduled builds and prototype activities
• Coordinate and maintain work orders, ensuring accurate documentation and timely completion
• Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for paint material ordering and supplier coordination
• Maintain organized digital and physical records related to materials, compliance, and process documentation
• Support communication between technicians, engineers, suppliers, and internal departments
• Monitor material usage and proactively identify shortages or supply concerns
• Assist in improving inventory tracking, material handling, and workflow efficiency between departments
• Support day-to-day operational activities in a fast-paced prototype development environment

Required
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to adapt and learn new systems and processes quickly
• Positive attitude and willingness to take direction and feedback
Preferred
• Previous experience in automotive, manufacturing, inventory control, logistics, or prototype operations
• Experience working with inventory management or work order systems
• Familiarity with paint materials, automotive components, or battery-related operations
• Experience supporting engineering, prototype, or manufacturing teams
