Seeking a sharp, dependable Supplier Quality Engineer for contingent assignments in business and manufacturing functions. Synergy Solutions connects professionals with flexible roles that support fast-paced corporate teams and critical operations.

Position Overview
The Supplier Development Engineer is a trained specialist with extensive Quality System, Purchasing System, and Supplier Development technique knowledge.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Understand ISO 9001 and IATF/TS 16949 Quality Management System requirements.
• Thoroughly understand supplier metrics and supplier requirements to develop new suppliers and improve current supplier performance.
• Have extensive knowledge of various problem-solving techniques and reporting, including 8D, Ishikawa Fishbones analysis, IS/IS NOT, DOE, and others.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess Internal Auditing (TS 16949) auditing training, with certification available (or obtainable).
• Completed AIAG Core tools (or be scheduled for).
• Function as a qualified second party auditor in accordance with AIAG 16949 requirements.

Qualifications/Desired Skills
• Familiarity with casting (sand, gravity, etc) and CNC machining.
• Understand GDT and associated print interpretation.
• Be familiar with Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and so on.
• Understand automotive product quality requirements.
• Be able to take on involved projects and see them through to completion.
• Have at least 5 years in a Quality Engineer/SQE role, or demonstrate capability to perform in that role.
• Be willing to travel up to 50% of the tine.
• 2 years Associate Degree or greater education.
• A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
