Synergy Solutions is hiring a dependable Saw Operator for trade assignments with leading employers. Position Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for cutting raw materials to precise specifications to support machining, fabrication, and assembly operations. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety, along with a willingness to support general shop upkeep as needed.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Set up, adjust, and operate saws (band saws, cold saws, or CNC saws) to cut metal materials to required dimensions
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and material specifications
• Measure and verify cut materials using tape measures, calipers, and gauges
• Load and position raw materials using overhead cranes, hoists, or forklifts
• Monitor saw operation and make adjustments to feeds, speeds, and blade tension as needed
• Inspect materials before and after cutting to ensure quality and conformance to specifications
• Replace blades and perform routine machine maintenance
• Maintain accurate production records and job documentation
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards
• Assist with general shop housekeeping and facility support tasks, including basic carpentry, painting, and other maintenance-related duties as needed
Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1–3+ years of experience operating saws or similar machining equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
• Basic math and computer skills
• Forklift or crane experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Willingness to assist with general shop upkeep and maintenance tasks
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Comfortable working around machinery, noise, and varying shop conditions
