Description
Seeking a sharp, dependable Software Quality Assurance Analyst for contingent assignments in business and information technology functions. Synergy Solutions connects professionals with flexible roles that support fast-paced corporate teams and critical operations.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute formal test strategies and test plans to ensure the delivery of high-quality software applications.
• Maintain overall responsibility for the quality of applications, services, and systems throughout the IT development life cycle.
• Create and execute test cases based on project requirements and test scenarios.
• Utilize HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), LoadRunner, and Unified Functional Testing (UFT) where applicable.
• Analyze requirements and technical documentation to develop testing artifacts, including:
o Traceability matrices
o Test plans
o Test scenarios
o Manual and automated test cases/scripts
• Design, administer, and perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and load testing.
• Configure testing platforms and manage data within test environments.
• Define quality metrics and track testing progress against entry and exit criteria.
• Conduct quality audits and reviews to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
• Document acceptance criteria and support client/user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Participate in defect reviews, assist with triage, and recommend resolutions.
• Generate daily status and defect reports for management and stakeholders.
• Attend project-related meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Desired Skills
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in computer systems administration or software quality assurance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency in test planning, strategy development, and test execution.
• Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with software testing tools and platforms, including:
o HP ALM
o Oracle Utilities Suite: Customer Care & Billing (CC&B)
o Web and wireframes
o Interactive Voice Response (IVR)
o Structured Query Language (SQL)
• Ability to interpret business and functional requirements documents.
• Familiarity with:
o Oracle Utilities Suite: Meter Data Management (MDM)
o PSERM
o AutoCAD
o Outage Management System (OMS)
• Understanding of industry, organizational, and departmental standards, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Competence in software quality assurance principles and methodologies.
• Knowledge of governmental accounting practices related to financial record-keeping.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform arithmetic computations, including rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and standard office equipment.
