We’re recruiting a Production Supervisor for a permanent role with a respected client!
Position Overview:
This role is responsible for overseeing both Production Stamping Press and Robotic Welding operations while ensuring production schedules, quality standards, and safety objectives are consistently achieved.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities across Stamping Press and Robotic Welding operations.
• Lead production teams to safely achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
• Monitor workflow, identify production bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Production Planning teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve overall operations.
• Promote and enforce all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct routine safety audits, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions.
• Train, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with customer specifications and company standards.
• Maintain accurate production reports, labor tracking, inventory records, downtime documentation, and equipment performance metrics.
• Allocate personnel and production resources to maximize operational efficiency.
• Support inventory management and coordinate material availability to maintain uninterrupted production.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction.
• Conduct employee coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Lead shift meetings and communicate production priorities, safety initiatives, and operational updates.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience in an automotive or industrial production environment.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience within a manufacturing facility.
• Post-secondary education in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent leadership experience will also be considered.
• Experience supervising stamping, welding, or metal fabrication operations is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, production scheduling, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Working knowledge of quality systems, production metrics, and manufacturing best practices.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and production management software.
• Ability to work independently while effectively leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with robotic welding systems and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of stamping press operations and tooling.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
• Experience working within Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with ERP or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
