Position Overview:
This role is ideal for early-career engineers looking to apply their knowledge of kinematics and dynamics to solve real-world engineering challenges. Candidates with extensive industry experience are not the target for this position.
The CAE Analyst II will develop and analyze multi-body dynamic models to support engineering projects across the automotive, aerospace, entertainment, and industrial sectors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and capable of managing multiple projects while delivering high-quality results.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Build multi-body dynamics (MBD) models for applications in automotive, aerospace, and entertainment industries using commercial CAE tools such as ADAMS.
• Run simulations to convergence, post-process results, and provide engineering analysis and recommendations.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and support customer presentations.
• Develop Python scripts to automate simulation workflows and improve efficiency.
• Quickly learn and apply new CAE tools and methodologies.
• Manage analysis files in accordance with company data-retention policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the CAE department to enhance predictive accuracy and reduce development cycles.
• Execute projects with minimal guidance, including direct communication with customers and development of effective design solutions.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Support the development of new technologies and engineering processes.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
Required Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Coursework in Kinematics, Dynamics, Vibrations, and Numerical Methods.
Experience
• 1–3 years of experience in Multi-Body Dynamics (MBD) modeling.
• Hands-on experience with kinematics and dynamics modeling.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including 2D and 3D mechanisms, automotive suspensions, and vibration isolation principles.
• Ability to validate simulation inputs and results using hand calculations and free body diagrams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s or Ph.D. in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
• Proficiency with multi-body simulation tools such as ADAMS, MATLAB, or SIMPACK.
• Experience with full vehicle MBD models.
• Experience integrating real-world test data and performing experimental validation.
• Knowledge of Excel VBA and C programming for process automation.
• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency to comply with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements.
