Position Overview
The Sheet Metal Fabricator is responsible for building metal parts by measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials to meet job specifications. This role works closely with production and engineering teams in a hands-on shop environment and focuses on quality, accuracy, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Measure, cut, bend, and form sheet metal using hand tools and shop equipment
Assemble parts using welding, riveting, bolting, or soldering methods
Read and follow blueprints and work instructions
Enter job information and track work using a computer system
Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and proper fit
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to problem-solve and adjust to changing work needs
Able to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods
Good communication and teamwork skills
Basic computer skills for shop documentation
