Position Overview
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations in our high-volume production facility. The successful candidate will lead a team of production workers, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently met. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a focus on continuous improvement to drive operational excellence.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate activities of production personnel to meet daily and weekly manufacturing schedules.
• Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
• Manage workforce schedules, attendance, and performance, including coaching, training, and development of team members.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflows and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular safety meetings, audits, and inspections to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation for management review.
• Participate in production planning and coordination with other departments to meet overall business goals.
• Lead and motivate the production team to achieve high levels of productivity and employee engagement.
Qualifications/Desired Skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and quality control systems.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate a diverse workforce.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with manufacturing software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Commitment to safety and compliance standards.
• Primarily based on the production floor, with some office work as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the facility for extended periods.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• May involve shift work, including nights and weekends.
