Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Specialist to support our finance team with day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), cash application, and general ledger support. Experience with NetSuite and a solid foundation in Microsoft Office tools is essential for success in this role.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform daily accounts payable and receivable transactions, including processing invoices, payments, and customer receipts.
• Handle cash application, ensuring timely and accurate recording of incoming payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end close activities.
• Maintain accurate records in NetSuite and support audit preparation as needed.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing and payment inquiries.
• Assist in maintaining general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
• Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed.
Qualifications/Desired Skills
• 2+ years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
• Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP/accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Understanding of general accounting principles and best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
