Position Overview:
We are seeking detail-oriented Quality Inspectors / Quality Technicians to join our manufacturing team in Pontiac, MI. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring products and tooling meet quality standards throughout the manufacturing process by performing receiving, in-process, and final inspections. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, enjoys problem-solving, and is committed to delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process, including receiving inspections / in-process inspections / final inspections
• Conduct quality audits on incoming materials, components, and completed tools prior to customer shipment
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to support internal and external quality audits
• Identify, document, and communicate quality concerns, non-conformances, and inspection findings
• Assist with corrective action activities and support resolution of quality issues
• Maintain accurate inspection records, audit reports, and quality documentation
• Utilize inspection tools including calipers / micrometers / gauges / measuring equipment
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards, procedures, and safety policies
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality and manufacturing processes
• Support additional quality and inspection activities as assigned
Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1–2 years of quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred (entry-level candidates with relevant training are encouraged to apply)
• Basic understanding of quality inspection processes and manufacturing environments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently while meeting production deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook / Teams / Excel / SharePoint
• Experience performing receiving, in-process, or final inspections
• Experience using inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring tools
• Knowledge of quality auditing and continuous improvement principles
• Automotive, tooling, automation, or manufacturing experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to identify quality issues and communicate findings effectively
• Ability to learn new inspection methods and quality control procedures
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
• High level of professionalism and accountability
