Synergy Solutions is seeking a motivated Tool Maker to join our automation and robotics team. This role will support the layout, build, and assembly of mechanical components used in custom tooling and automated systems. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality tooling is delivered on time and built to exact specifications. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform layout, build, and mechanical assembly of tooling components for assigned projects
• Execute tasks efficiently with a focus on time, cost, and functionality
• Interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and technical manuals to complete tooling builds
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform or recommend necessary repairs and adjustments
• Accurately report time and progress through the ERP system
• Ensure all work complies with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Collaborate with team members while maintaining ownership of assigned tasks
• Support additional shop or project-related duties as needed
Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
• Toolmaker Journeyman Card or 8+ years of tool building/machining experience
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and prints
• Experience with layout and assembly of tooling and mechanical systems
• Familiarity with Bridgeport mill operation
• Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
• Welding experience (MIG/ARC) preferred
• Knowledge of automated assembly and mechanical standards
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently
• A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
• High attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
